Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released on Christmas in theaters and on HBO Max. Warner Bros. and HBO Max put a new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 on YouTube. The trailer ends by revealing that the movie will be available for no additional charge to HBO Max subscribers on December 25, 2020. With Wonder Woman 1984 officially heading to HBO Max this Christmas, it becomes the latest blockbuster to incorporate a streaming release due to the pandemic. Disney moved Mulan to Disney+ and only put the movie in theaters where the streaming service isn’t available, while movies like Bill & Ted Face The Music had simultaneous theatrical and PVOD releases in the summer. Pixar’s Soul is launching exclusively on Disney+ on Christmas Day as well, so Wonder Woman 1984 won’t be the only high-profile film to launch over the holiday.
