‘Captain Marvel’ crosses $1 Billion at the worldwide box office, Joining the likes of Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War
Marvel’s latest superhero flick, Captain Marvel, just crossed a big milestone: it’s earned more than $1 billion at the global box office, according to Variety. The film is the seventh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to hit that mark, joining the likes of Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.
Even with controversy surrounding the film, it looks like it was blown completely out of proportion by the media and by people across social media.
Many fans thought the movie would be too preachy, but instead Captain Marvel had a lot of heart. Its values were less specifically feminist and more humanist, making the movie more universal too fans and movie-goers.
Brie Larson did not come across as a particularly great actor, but she was perfect for the role. Samuel Jackson was fantastic as well. The film’s only major weakness is that the main character did seem pretty OP at the end. But that didn’t interfere with the journey getting her to that point. Many fans are looking forward to seeing her in Infinity War.
