Avengers: Endgame is now officially the 2nd film ever to cross the $800M mark in North America
Even though it won’t pass Avatar worldwide we should still be impressed with its domestic performance. The biggest opening weekend ever and passing 800 mil with plenty more to come. When’s the next time we’ll see a movie in that range?
Granted, in one hand you have one film that was built off of the hype and reception of over 20 films spanning a decade along with an intense cliffhanger that preceded said film…
…and on the other hand, a film that had NONE of that.
Sure, Endgame’s reception is well deserved, but holy crap, Avatar was a one-film-wonder that attributed its gross only to itself…I think we should be impressed that Endgame couldn’t top it.
